Types of Skilled Migration Visas Australia

Temporary Skilled visa:

    • Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa – Subclass 491: allows skilled workers and their eligible family members to live and work in Australian regional areas for 5 years.
    • Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) visa – Subclass 494: allows international workers who are sponsored by Australian employers to live and work in designated regional areas of Australia for 5 years.
    • Temporary Skill Shortage visa – Subclass 482: allows international workers who are sponsored by Australian employers to live and work in Australia for 2-4 years.

Permanent Skilled visa:

    • Skilled Independent visa – Subclass 189: allows international skilled workers to live and work permanently in Australia.
    • Skilled Nominated visa – Subclass 190: allows eligible workers to live and work permanently in a certain Australian state/territory.
    • Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) visa- Subclass 191: allows eligible Subclass 491 or 494 visa holders to live and work in Australia permanently.
    • Employer Nomination Scheme – Subclass 186: allows skilled workers, who are sponsored by their employer, to live and work in Australia permanently.
